Section 02
Platform & Services

ℹ️
Rentrals.com is a marketplace and booking platform — we connect you with independent car rental Providers. We do not own or operate any rental vehicles ourselves.
2.1
Rentrals.com provides an online platform that enables Clients to search, compare, and book car rental services offered by independent Providers operating in multiple countries.
2.2
By making a Booking you enter into two separate agreements: (a) with Rentrals.com for use of the Platform and booking facilitation services, and (b) with the Provider for the actual car rental.
2.3
Rentrals.com is not a party to the rental contract between you and the Provider. We act solely as an intermediary and booking agent.
2.4
Rentrals.com does not guarantee the accuracy of Provider listings, vehicle descriptions, photographs, or pricing displayed on the Platform, as these are supplied by Providers.
2.5
The Platform is provided “as is.” While we strive for continuous availability, we are not liable for downtime or technical failures.
2.6
Acceptance of these Terms occurs when you complete a Booking or make any payment through the Platform. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

Section 03
Eligibility & Driver Requirements

⚠️
Driver eligibility requirements vary by country and Provider. It is your responsibility to meet all requirements before picking up the vehicle. Rentrals.com does not verify eligibility on your behalf.
General Requirements (All Countries)
3.1
You must hold a full, valid driving licence issued in your country of residence that authorises you to drive the category of vehicle rented.
3.2
You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of rental. Some Providers and vehicle categories require a minimum age of 25 years. Young driver surcharges may apply for drivers under 25.
3.3
You must present a valid passport or national ID and a credit or debit card in the primary driver’s name at vehicle collection.
3.4
For rentals outside your country of residence, an International Driving Permit (IDP) may be required. Check the laws of your destination country before travelling.

Section 04
Booking Process

4.1
Search and select a vehicle on the Platform, review the Provider’s specific terms, and proceed to checkout. You must provide accurate personal information including full name, email address, phone number, and any other details requested.
4.2
A Booking is confirmed only after the Advance Payment is successfully processed and you receive a Booking Confirmation email. Unconfirmed bookings do not reserve a vehicle.
4.3
It is your responsibility to review the Confirmation carefully and notify us immediately of any errors at hello@rentrals.com.
4.4
Rentrals.com reserves the right to cancel any Booking where fraudulent payment, incorrect information, or a violation of these Terms is suspected. A full refund minus the payment processing fee will be issued in such cases.
4.5
A Provider’s Security Service may decline to fulfil a Booking within 24 hours of confirmation. In that event, the full Advance Payment minus the 6% processing fee will be refunded to you.
📧
If you do not receive a Confirmation email within 30 minutes of payment, check your spam folder or contact us at hello@rentrals.com.
💳
Section 05
Pricing & Payments

5.1
All prices displayed on the Platform include the Rentrals.com service fee, which is agreed with Providers and incorporated into the total price shown to you.
5.2
At the time of Booking, you pay an Advance Payment to Rentrals.com online. The remaining balance is paid directly to the Provider at vehicle pick-up, in the currency and manner specified by the Provider.
5.3
Payment may be made by credit card, debit card, or other methods available on the Platform. All card payment costs including processing fees and currency conversion are charged to you.
5.4
Prices are quoted in the currency shown on the Platform at the time of Booking. Exchange rate fluctuations after Booking are your responsibility.
5.5
The Provider may charge additional fees at pick-up including: airport surcharges, young or senior driver fees, one-way drop-off fees, GPS or child seat add-ons, and local taxes. These are set by the Provider and are separate from the amount paid to Rentrals.com.
💡
Always check the Provider’s on-site fee schedule before signing the Rental Agreement. Rentrals.com is not responsible for additional charges applied by Providers.
🚫
Section 06
Cancellations & Refunds

✉️
To cancel, email your Booking Confirmation to hello@rentrals.com with “Cancellation” in the subject line. Cancellations are not accepted by phone.
Standard Cancellation Fees
FeeAmountWhen Applied
Payment processing fee6% of paid amountAll cancellations, regardless of timing
Advance Payment — Luxury & ConvertiblesFull advance withheldCancellation less than 30 days before rental start
Advance Payment — All other categoriesFull advance withheldCancellation less than 7 days before rental start
6.3
Refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method. Processing time may be extended due to payment system procedures or Provider conditions.
6.4
Specific Bookings may have stricter cancellation terms set by the Provider. These are displayed at the time of Booking and in your Confirmation and take precedence over the standard terms above.
6.5
To modify a Booking, cancel the existing reservation and create a new one. Once cancelled, the vehicle may immediately become available to other users and cannot be guaranteed.
6.6
No-show: If you fail to collect the vehicle at the agreed time and location without prior cancellation, the full Advance Payment is forfeited and no refund will be made.
6.7
Provider cancellation: If the Provider cancels your Booking, Rentrals.com will endeavour to arrange an equivalent vehicle. If no equivalent is available, a full refund of the Advance Payment will be issued.
🚗
Section 07
Vehicle Pick-Up & Return

7.1
Present your Booking Confirmation, valid driving licence, passport or national ID, and a credit or debit card in your name at the pick-up location. Failure to present any of these may result in the Provider refusing to hand over the vehicle.
7.2
Inspect the vehicle thoroughly before accepting it. Document any existing damage on the Provider’s condition report and ensure they acknowledge it. Photograph the vehicle from all angles before driving away.
7.3
The vehicle must be returned to the agreed location by the agreed date and time. Late returns may incur additional charges set by the Provider.
7.4
If the Provider cannot supply the booked vehicle due to breakdown or other circumstances, they must provide an equivalent or higher-class vehicle at the same price.
7.5
Returning the vehicle early does not entitle you to a partial refund of the amount paid to the Provider unless agreed in writing by the Provider.
📸
Always photograph the vehicle at pick-up and return. This protects you from disputed damage claims.
🔐
Section 08
Security Deposit

8.1
Most Providers require a security deposit at vehicle pick-up, held as a pre-authorisation or charge on your credit card. Amounts vary by Provider, vehicle category, and country — typically €150 to €3,000 or local equivalent.
8.2
The deposit is held against potential damage, traffic fines, fuel shortages, or other liabilities. The unused portion is released after vehicle return and inspection.
8.3
Release of the deposit may take 7 to 30 business days depending on your bank. Rentrals.com has no control over deposit release timelines.
8.4
Some Providers accept only credit cards (not debit or prepaid cards) for the security deposit. Confirm accepted payment methods with the Provider before travel.
⚠️
Ensure you have sufficient available credit for the security deposit in addition to the remaining rental balance. Rentrals.com is not liable if a Provider refuses to release the vehicle due to insufficient card funds.
🛡️
Section 09
Insurance & Liability

Standard Coverage
9.1
All vehicles are covered by the Provider’s mandatory third-party liability insurance as required by the laws of the country of operation.
9.2
Providers typically offer Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) or Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) which reduces (but does not eliminate) your financial liability for damage to the rental vehicle. An excess or deductible always applies unless specifically waived.
9.3
Insurance coverage details including excess amounts, exclusions, and optional upgrades are specified by the Provider and shown in the Booking details. Review these carefully before confirming.
Common Exclusions — Not Covered
  • Damage to tyres, windscreen, undercarriage, roof, or interior unless specific cover is purchased
  • Damage caused while driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication
  • Damage caused by driving on roads or terrain for which the vehicle is not suited
  • Damage caused by unauthorised drivers not listed on the Rental Agreement
  • Theft of personal belongings left in the vehicle
  • Traffic fines, toll charges, and parking penalties incurred during the rental
  • Damage resulting from fuel errors (wrong fuel type)
9.4
Rentrals.com does not provide insurance and is not an insurer. Any insurance disputes are between you and the Provider or their insurer directly.
🚷
Section 10
Prohibited Uses

The following uses are strictly prohibited unless you have obtained explicit prior written consent from the Provider:

  • Driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or impairing medication
  • Using the vehicle for commercial purposes, ride-hailing, courier services, or for hire
  • Transporting more passengers than the vehicle’s rated capacity
  • Transporting dangerous goods, illegal substances, or live animals
  • Crossing international borders without prior authorisation from the Provider
  • Allowing an unlisted, unlicensed, or otherwise ineligible driver to operate the vehicle
  • Participation in racing, rallying, or any competitive driving event
  • Driving on unpaved, off-road, or restricted tracks in a vehicle not rated for such use
  • Towing or pushing another vehicle without authorisation
  • Smoking inside the vehicle (a cleaning surcharge will apply if evidence is found)
  • Deliberate or reckless damage to the vehicle
⚠️
Violation of any prohibited use will void your insurance coverage and may result in full liability for damages, immediate vehicle recovery, and legal action by the Provider.
Section 11
Fuel Policy

11.1
The fuel policy applicable to your rental is specified in the Booking details. The most common policies are described below.
PolicyPick-UpReturn Requirement
Full-to-FullFull tank providedReturn with full tank — most common and recommended
Full-to-EmptyFull tank (pre-paid)Return empty — no refund for unused fuel
Same-to-SameAgreed levelReturn at the same level as collected
11.2
If you return the vehicle with less fuel than required, the Provider will charge a top-up fee at their own rate, which is typically significantly higher than pump prices.
11.3
Wrong fuel: Putting the incorrect fuel type (e.g. petrol in a diesel vehicle) is not covered by standard insurance. You will be liable for all costs of repair, recovery, and any resulting damage.
🚨
Section 12
Accidents & Breakdowns

In the Event of an Accident
  • Stop immediately and ensure the safety of all parties
  • Call the local emergency services and police if there are injuries or significant damage
  • Do not admit fault or sign any documents other than official police reports
  • Collect details of all vehicles involved: registration, insurance, driver name, and contact
  • Photograph the scene, all vehicles, and any road conditions
  • Notify the Provider immediately using the emergency contact number in your Rental Agreement
  • Complete and submit the Provider’s accident report form within 24 hours
In the Event of a Breakdown
  • Move the vehicle to a safe location if possible and activate hazard lights
  • Call the Provider’s roadside assistance number found in your Rental Agreement
  • Do not attempt repairs yourself or engage a third-party mechanic without Provider authorisation
12.1
Rentrals.com is not liable for accidents, breakdowns, injuries, or property damage during the rental period. All such matters are between you and the Provider and/or their insurer.
👥
Section 13
Additional Drivers

13.1
Only drivers listed on the Rental Agreement are authorised to operate the vehicle. Allowing an unlisted driver voids the insurance and makes you personally liable for all damage.
13.2
Additional drivers must present a valid driving licence and meet the same age and eligibility requirements as the primary driver. They must be added to the Rental Agreement at the time of pick-up.
13.3
Providers may charge a daily additional driver fee, payable directly to them at pick-up.
🗺️
Section 14
Cross-Border Travel

⚠️
Taking a rental vehicle across an international border without prior written authorisation from the Provider is strictly prohibited and will void your insurance coverage entirely.
14.1
If you intend to cross a border, you must request authorisation from the Provider before your rental begins. Some Providers do not permit cross-border travel at all.
14.2
Where cross-border travel is permitted, the Provider will issue a border crossing letter or equivalent documentation. Carry this at all times.
14.3
Insurance coverage may be restricted or excluded for certain countries. Check with the Provider which countries are covered under their policy before crossing any border.
14.4
You are responsible for all border fees, tolls, taxes, and local charges incurred during cross-border travel.
🏢
Section 15
Provider Responsibilities

15.1
Providers are independently operated businesses solely responsible for: the condition and roadworthiness of their vehicles; accuracy of their listings and pricing; compliance with local licensing and insurance laws; and the terms of the Rental Agreement they offer.
15.2
Providers are obligated to supply a vehicle that is clean, roadworthy, legally insured, and substantially matches the category booked. Where the exact vehicle is unavailable, an equivalent or superior vehicle must be provided.
15.3
Any dispute regarding vehicle condition, damage charges, deposit deductions, or service quality must be addressed first with the Provider directly. Rentrals.com may offer facilitation support but is not a party to the rental contract.
15.4
Rentrals.com does not guarantee the conduct, quality, or compliance of any Provider and cannot be held responsible for Provider actions or omissions.
⚖️
Section 16
Our Liability

💰
Rentrals.com’s maximum financial liability to you is limited to €100 EUR or the equivalent in your local currency. We are not liable for lost profits, indirect losses, or consequential damages of any kind.
16.1
Rentrals.com is liable solely for the booking facilitation services it provides. We are not liable for: Provider actions or omissions; vehicle condition; accidents, injuries, or property damage; loss or theft of personal belongings; or travel delays.
16.2
If a Provider fails to deliver the booked service, Rentrals.com may (but is not obligated to) attempt to arrange an alternative vehicle, offer organisational assistance, or pay compensation up to double the Advance Payment.
16.3
We are not responsible for inaccurate information provided by Providers on the Platform, including vehicle specifications, availability, location, pricing, or included services.
16.4
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation, where such limitation is not permitted by applicable law.
🏛️
Section 17
Dispute Settlement

📬
Before raising a formal dispute, contact us at hello@rentrals.com. Most issues are resolved quickly without formal proceedings.
17.1
These Terms require a mandatory pre-judicial dispute resolution process. Before initiating legal proceedings, the Client must submit a written claim to Rentrals.com with supporting documentation. Rentrals.com will respond within 30 calendar days.
17.2
Claims must be submitted to hello@rentrals.com with “Formal Claim” in the subject line, accompanied by your Booking reference, a description of the issue, and all relevant evidence such as photographs, receipts, and correspondence.
17.3
If the pre-judicial procedure fails, unresolved disagreements shall be referred to courts at the registered location of Rentrals.com (Renot Software OU) and governed by the laws of that jurisdiction.
17.4
For disputes with Providers regarding damage charges, deposit deductions, or service quality, file your claim directly with the Provider. Rentrals.com may offer facilitation support at its discretion.
Section 18
Force Majeure

18.1
Neither Rentrals.com nor any Provider shall be held liable for failure or delay in fulfilling obligations caused by events beyond reasonable control, including: natural disasters, pandemics, war, civil unrest, government restrictions, strikes, or severe weather.
18.2
The affected party shall notify the other as soon as reasonably possible. Obligations are suspended for the duration of the force majeure event.
18.3
If force majeure continues for more than two months, both parties shall negotiate in good faith to find an acceptable resolution.
18.4
In a force majeure situation, Rentrals.com may refund the Advance Payment less any expenses already incurred in performing the booking, at its discretion.
🔒

19.3

Section 20
Amendments & Governing Law

20.1
Rentrals.com reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time without prior written notice. The current version is always available on the Platform. By completing a Booking after any amendment, you accept the revised Terms.
20.2
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the country in which Renot Software OU is registered. Courts in that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction unless otherwise required by mandatory local consumer protection laws.
20.3
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
